West Essex High School provides an award winning and comprehensive selection of musical activities that foster a well-rounded music education while developing important humanistic values such as creativity, work ethic, dedication, motivation and respect to name a few.

While the concert band and symphonic winds are the core of our program, West Essex High School offers many opportunities to participate in instrumental music. During the year, students may participate in extracurricular ensembles such as marching band, jazz band, indoor percussion, winter guard, and other small ensemble groups.
