2018 TOB Chapter X Championship

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP IN MAKING THIS YEAR’S TOURNAMENT A HUGE SUCCESS!

WE LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR!

This year’s Tournament of Bands (TOB) Chapter X Championship, will be Sunday, October 21, 2018.

The Tournament of Bands Chapter X Championship (our Home Competition), to be held on Sunday October 21, 2018, is a day to showcase the West Essex Regional School District, as Marching Bands and spectators from across the Northeast will visit our campus for the Tournament’s Chapter X Championships.  The event is a massive undertaking for WEBB, and its success depends on the active support from all of our Band Parents.  The Home Show is our largest fundraiser of the year, so a successful Tournament will lead to a successful year for all of the West Essex High School Band Programs!

MORE INFORMATION ON TOB CHAPTER X CHAMPIONSHIPS @ WEST ESSEX:
As you can imagine, a lot goes into hosting an event of this magnitude. It requires a ton of planning, lots of coordination, an army of volunteers and most of all teamwork.

Parking so many marching bands requires a bit of perspective to figure out not only where to put all the buses and equipment trucks but where all the bands will practice. Plus, you also need to expect the unexpected—like when two schools throw you a curve and arrive in their 18-wheeler through the back gate on Squire Hill Road.

Thousands of spectators arrive and we typically fill every last open parking space on campus and even on the grass behind the entire high school building.

The stands quickly fill with excited fans cheering on each band’s performance and purchasing 50/50 tickets.

The Concession Stand is packed non-stop with hungry band members, staff and spectators. Each happy customer walks away with some of the best home-cooked meals money could buy.

Candy Grams and Baked Goods sell so fast that we can hardy keep up with the demand.

The Hospitality Suite hosts all the judges and band staff with delicious food and deserts served throughout the entire competition.

In the end, this makes it all worth it…
